To become gold, you have to struggle,
I know I need these struggles,
But sometimes, I feel all I do is struggle.
One day I want to shine like a star,
But I can’t be comforted until I feel it,
It’s like I’m bloodthirsty, it’s all I think of.
She said we’re all dying but I knew,
That she felt death closer than the rest.
The world says there’s so much to take,
But I see it, and I want none of it,
‘Cause I see its worth for all it is,
A show. Life’s a movie,
I used to think it was a joke, back then,
But things, uncertain as they are,
Make me think, maybe it is.
A sad picture, but my happy moments,
Are the ones I live for; would die for.
It’s the carelessness I’m trying to reach.
