I’M A MISFIT

I just can’t seem to tell under the fire,

If I’m safer losing myself at home,

Or alone in the city living a liar,

Can’t believe I made it this far all alone.

Breathing out lies, brown eyes of truth,

Falling in, and under and over herself,

Time and time, she laughs it off, she’s so smooth saying,

“It’s fine, really…I’m finding myself!”

Holding onto each heartbeat, losing her shine,

She’s got it all but she’s still blind.

Praying each and every day,

That this pain will go away,

Was it worth it?

Can I change it?

You little hypocrite…

Wait, what was that?

Never mind, she’s just a misfit.

This platform means so much to me,

But our paths are parallel, you see,

And where you go I know I won’t,

But that seat you sit on, I’ll call it your throne.

Breathing out lies, brown eyes of truth,

Falling in, and under and over herself,

Time and time, she laughs it off, she’s so smooth saying,

“It’s fine, really…I’m finding myself!”

Holding onto each heartbeat, losing her shine,

She’s got it all but she’s still blind.

Praying each and every day,

That this pain will somehow go away,

Wasn’t worth it.

Couldn’t change it.

Little Miss Misfit.

Longing for what?

Never mind, say hi to the misfit.

It was under the fire, I gave in to my tears,

You laugh, eyes gleaming, it was all so clear.

(Mister please)

But when I lost it all, you said it was all my fault,

I tried to turn around, but your gaze was so long gone,

(Diamond mind shines)

Sitting here lost in your dream, you didn’t even think to speak,

But what I lost I eventually gained, waving goodbye to your silly train.

(Au revoir Monsieur)

Breathing out lies, brown eyes of truth,

Falling in, and under and over herself,

Time and time, she laughs it off, she’s so smooth saying,

“It’s fine, really…I’m finding myself!”

Holding onto each heartbeat, losing her shine,

She’s got it all but she’s still blind.

Praying each and every day,

That this pain will go away,

Was it worth it?

Can I change it?

You little hypocrite…

Wait, what was that?

Never mind, she’s a misfit.

This pain…

It wasn’t worth it,

I could’ve changed it,

But I’m a misfit.
