SUN ON MY HEART
Don’t you think this city’s had too much rain,
So much that it’s become apparent people stopped believing in the Sun,
Don’t you think that our emotions mirror in the sheeting rain,
When I look around, I don’t even know if I’ll be the same again,
Do you think people still believe in hope and love? Do you?
After the ordeal, she’s a singer, she’s a writer, she paints life with words,
Do you think I’ll make it in this world?
Even the trains sleep more than me; I got it going rough.
But who said I’m not laughing, even through my tears,
My strength in my weakness, my joy in my pain, my joy in rain,
So let it rain, but I still believe in the Sun, still sane.
